I have an ADSL - Connection and NewsCache 0.99.22
When I retrieve headers for Newsgroups with about 30000
new headers I'm getting timeouts on my client (Forte Agent)

and I don't see the progress-bar in Agent.
All the new headers are downloaded by NewsCache - and
sent to my Forte Agent at once !!!

Can I change this???

Reason: If the header informations in the cache is not valid, then the
newscache requests the header information from the upstream server and store
the information in the cache. For this operation is the cache locked. After
this, the informtion is send to the client and here you the client can show
a progress bar.

You can try:

1) Error with the upstream server (news.err)
1) simulate the request with a telnet session
2) Prefetch this newsgroup
