Hello,

I would like to ask you for help.

My config:

software: kernel 2.2.14 compiled on Mandrake 6.1
          plustek-driver-sane-0.35
          sane 1.0.1

hardware: plustek OP 96000P

I have compiled the driver and installed it, also the scanner
device seems to exist

[root@lynx src]# ls -la /dev/pt_drv
crw-rw-r-- 1 root root 40, 0 cze 7 22:23 /dev/pt_drv

My conf.modules is like that

alias parport parport_pc
options parport_pc io=0x378,0x278 irq=7,auto
alias char-major-40 pt_drv
post-install pt_drv modprobe -k parport
options pt_drv lampoff=180 warmup=15 port=0x378 lOffonEnd=0 legal=0

When I try
[root@lynx src]# modprobe parport
[root@lynx src]# modprobe pt_drv
/lib/modules/2.2.14/misc/pt_drv.o: init_module: Device or resources are busy
parport: Devices or resoures are busy

the same with insmod -f pt_drv

In /var/log/messages I have

Jun 8 12:49:42 lynx kernel: - no need to restore portmode !
Jun 8 12:49:42 lynx kernel: Releasing parport
Jun 8 12:49:42 lynx kernel: ptdrvShutdown()
Jun 8 12:49:42 lynx kernel: pt_drv: init failed - ret = -9020
Jun 8 12:49:42 lynx kernel: ---------------------------------------------

I was so happy to see the support for Plustek and now... It seems
I have something stupid small to do. But I don't know what.
Please reply to my e-mail address, I am not a subscriber
of this list.

With regards
Chris

I am sorry for a noise, because the problem was in hardware,
lpt connector was improperly mounted on the motherboard.
After fixing the problem I checked that Gerhard's driver works without
any problems. I am trying to scan images now.

My config is plustek driver 0.36/ Optic Pro 96000P/ kernel 2.2.14.

Regards,
Chris
