This may cause your driver not to load. "Device or Resource busy" The conf.modules lines should be (for version 0.36) alias char-major-40 pt_drv post-install pt_drv modprobe -k parport options pt_drv lampoff=180 warmup=15 port=0x378 lOffonEnd=0 mov=0 !!! The legal=0 parameter was wrong !!!!
