plustek: Thread: OpticPro 600P OK!!

Have compiled driver 0.36 with news Makefile, ..after installation if I
run xscanimage have problem with "gtk error ..ecc.." if run scanimage
with any options have "libsane not open shared library ..ecc..", if
launch this last command in to /sane1.0.2/frontend
 (directory wehre compiled program) this not function ....otherwise not
return any error!!

At this point have deleted previous installation and have installed
sane1.0.1.rpm (version for RedHat) and have add file compiled with new
version:
	dll.conf and plustek.conf to /etc/sane.d/
	libsane-plustek.so.1.0.2 and yours link to /usr/lib/sane/.

:-) This is a mix installation, surprise ..FUNCTION OK VERY VERY
GOOD!!!, not freeze the computer during scanning and is velocity :-)

Thanks to all group creator of driver, and to all have write me for
help.

P.S.
For use with Gimp1.1.24 ? ..is possible?

You should be able to use xscanimage with gimp:

1. Login as root

2. Go into the gimp plug-in directory (on SuSE it is:
/usr/lib/gimp/1.1/plug-ins/ 

3.  Find xscanimage - which xscanimage

4. Create a symbolic link to xscanimage

ln -s /usr/X11R6/bin/xscanimage  xscanimage

5. logout as root

Now call gimp, in the xtns menu you should find 
now the Aquire Image menu entry. That's all
