Hi everybody,

scanimage -L cannot found my scanner, I've already got problems under
debian like systems.

These are output of
export SANE_DEBUG_PLUSTEK_PP=20 ; scanimage -L 2
I don't understand what's going wrong, if someone knows ? maybe it comes
from parallel port device? Errors are in ASIC98001 section

Thanks in advance

Hi,

you should try and set your port in BIOS to EPP, no ECP at all!!!
Then also try and set the parport_pc module parameters correctly:
options parport_pc io=0x378 irq=none
(assuming the port is located at 0x378)
If this doesn't help, try and set the port to plain SPP.
It seems, that you have one of these boards, where the auto-setup
of the parport_pc module didn't work correctly.

Hope this helps
Gerhard
