I disagree, since anyone can buy the dev kit for $495 from the Cypress
web site.  They seem much more readily available than any other
12 Mbps or 480 Mbps solution I've seen.  I'm not a "big name developer",
but I've never had any trouble getting the information I've needed
from Cypress.
