Very cool! Now I have to figure out why gpsim is crashing on my machine....

Tried that on my dumb terminal (not a PC) and that end is fine. I will
try it on the PIC (send char, receive char, compare, flash one LED if
match, flash another LED if no match). Thanks for the suggestions.
