gpsim seems to run very fast at max sim speed + gui, but all gui buttons are
inoperable in this mode. A ^C issued in the terminal terminates the program
with a SIGALRM. I wrote a little patch which tries to prevent this. When
applied, it stops the program at the terminal prompt as indended (when
pressing ^C in the terminal). Is there interest in adding this to 0.27.0?
The patch is against 0.26.1 but I will fix my 0.27.0 soon.

Also I wrote a module for extras for gpsim, which implements any HD44780
compatible lcd display, of any (known) size. The size is passed to the
module using an extra parameter embedded in the instance name (eg. a module
instance name like LCD_4x20 yields a 4 line 20 column one). The module
compiles against gpsim 0.27.0 and seems to work fine. Any interest to merge
it? It is based on Scott Dattalo's glcd code, my contribution is very minor.

tia,

  Peter

The previous message was cross posted to the gpsim-devel mailing list. I
apologize if it is off topic here.
