That's one, but there are many others out there, particularly
with the X11 distributions.

bin/convbdf -f file.bdf will create file.fnt.
GrCreateFont("/pathto/file.fnt", ...) will load it.

I don't know.  But there are definitely big 5, gb2312, and
traditionally encoded fonts out there.
