Hey All,

I'm having a problem that I believe has been posted on this forum before.
Unfortunately, I don't remember the solution and my attempts to access the
NanoGUI archive have resulted in "500 - Internal Server Error" from the
LinuxHacker web server. Therefore please forgive the repeat post.

The problem I'm having is that, after displaying some text, subsequent
displays of text to that same area of the display result in black boxes
covering the area where the characters should appear. That is, the letter
'M' is a tall and wide black box while the letter 'i' is a short and thin
one. Note that this is *not* a problem of just writing new characters
over old ones without erasing the area. The sequence of events is
essentially:

1. Draw some text.
2. Erase the whole window using GrClearWindow().
3. Draw some new text.

On step 3, as stated, I just get black boxes. I have tried destroying and
recreating the font (FreeType I Arial) and I have tried unmapping and
remapping the window. Neither of these has any effect.

The only other odd thing to note is that I AM able to draw and redraw text
on other parts of the display without problems. The only thing that's
different in the errored case, that I can think of anyway, is that the
text that appears as black boxes is rendered in a larger font than the
other text.

Any clues? Thanks in advance.
