Thanks for the answer Greg...
I went through the configuration file and I have
OPTIMIZA =Y
DEBUG =Y
VERBOSE =N
THREADSAFE =Y
GPROF = N
I also have NOMOUSE = Y and the rest =N and after make I can see
Compiling mou_null.c....
Conpiling kbd_null.c
(Is that what you mean with the link line?)
After compiling I copy nano-X to my board and run it with the same error...
"Cannot initialize mouse"

Perhaps you have some other mouse driver also set to Y?
Set VERBOSE=Y and check the link line, make sure you're
in fact using the mou_null mouse driver.
