hello everybody,
i need to use SDL within nano-X, but it seems i have not understood how
to do it, 'cos it doesn't work for me (yet).....
that's what i did:
- first of all, i compiled and installed nano-x (microwindows-0.90) for
framebuffer,
- then i downloaded sdl-1.2.4a.tar.gz, i configured and installed it.
this is the configure command line i used:
$ ./configure --disable-video-x11 --disable-video-fbcon
--enable-video-nanox --with-nanox-pixel-type=0888
--enable-nanox-direct-fb --prefix=/usr
but the test programs doesn't seem to work..... if i run a test program
directly, the output is:
$ ./testalpha
nxclient: retry connect attempt 1
nxclient: retry connect attempt 2
[...]
nxclient: retry connect attempt 10
Couldn't initialize SDL: No available video device
and it's the same behaviour as if try to run a nano-x client program
without the server... but if i try to run nano-x server first, with this
command line:
$ nano-X & sleep 1 & ./testalpha
it doesn't work either...... it just shows:
[1] 2862 <it is the pid of nano-X>
[2] 2863 <it is the pid of sleep>
and when i press ctrl-c:
[1]+ Stopped nano-X
[2] Done sleep 1
i'm sure that nano-X is ok, 'cos its test programs work just fine......
does anybody have ideas??
thanks a lot!!
