If byte ordering is an issue, you are welcome to a half completed
project I've got lying around here somewhere. Not so long ago I
completed a rework of nanoX which attempted to modify ALL client server
read/writes so they would optionally use htonx/ntohx routines to handle
the byte ordering.
When I last worked on it it seemed to work - at least the demo
applications worked with:
- Linux client and Linux server
- Coldfire client and Linux server.
At that point I got distracted with (a) paid work and (b) getting the
LCD screen working on our CF board. Now that we have a working display
I might be able to locate a tuit of the correct shape to check that it
works for the other two combinations. That is a low priority task for
me at the moment, but you are welcome to play with the code as it stands
now.
The code is reasonable tidy, and the changes were reasonably localized
(thanks to Greg's excellent code), the changes were in:
include\
mwtypes.h
nano-X.h
nanox\
client.c
nxproto.h
srvfunc.c
srvmain.c
srvnet.c
Cheers,
