At the moment, either:
bin/nano-X; sleep 1; bin/nclock
or
./npanel.sh and use the menu
You also may be able to start programs from nterm.
Starting something from a seperate VT and switching back doesn't work well
because the automatic repaint on VT switch seems to be broken.

Soon, you'll be able to start programs from the root window menu of the
window manager I've written.
