Hi:
My system is x86 Linux RedHat7.0 with KDE2.0. When I run microwindows' demo on framebuffer, there is no output displayed; however, I can run microwindows on X-window OK with config.x11.
For microwin with framebuffer, I am using config.fb, and I also try different variation of configuration. For example, I will toggle VTSWITCH, VGALIB, SHARED_LIB, etc.
At first, I got some error messages such as:
error while loading shared libraries: bin/nano-X: undefined symbol: mwvterm
or
error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/libmwdrivers.so: undefined symbol XOpenDisplay
and
nxclient: retry connect attempt 10 Cannot open graphics
nxclient: retry connect attempt 10 Couldn't connect to Nano-X server
I think those error may due to I have installed the microwin with X shared library on my environment.

But now, I won't even see those messages.
After I run demo.sh, it will only display the processid number on screen.
I ran ps aux to check the process status, and got the followings.

root 855 0.4 0.4 2028 544 tty1 T 18:10 0:00 bin/nano-X
root 856 1.4 0.3 1748 436 tty1 T 18:10 0:00 bin/nanowm
root 857 1.0 0.3 1784 448 tty1 T 18:10 0:00 bin/loadmine

The way that I set my linux to use framebuffer is as followings.
1. Add vga=ASK to /etc/lilo.conf
2. Run /sbin/lilo -v. I am not sure if this is running OK or not. I got the message saying "NO boot backup..."
3. Type mknod /dev/fb0 c 29 0. At first I got the message saying this device is already existed. So, I remove the fb0, and re-create it.
4. Restart my computer.
5. Enter 0301 or 0314 to set mode.
6. When I am in KDE desktop, I ctrl-alt-F1 to exit X windows.
7. Run microwindows' demo programs.

Am I missing something?

Thanks for any input,
Jackie
