Hi,
I notice that the guys at Agenda have X11 running on their units using
Kdrive and TinyX, although they have not released their sources for it
yet.
Although I really like the work that has been done on MicroWindows and
NanoX, I am wondering if anyone has done a port of it to the Helio
(and/or other Linux VR PDAs.)
When both the Helio and Agenda take off, it will be only a matter of
time before people start asking about interchanging applications.
When that happens, it will be worth looking at running NanoX using the
option that allows it to work under X11.
Finally, there will be some work to be done to avoid a performance hit
for this type of setup, since NanoX likely runs lighter and faster.
Has anyone gotten X11 running on the Helio yet?
With enough encouragement, I will look into it myself, and then start
thinking about having MicroWindows/NanoX running under together.
It might be the case that we are not in an XOR situation with respect to
NanoX vs. X11, performance issues notwithstanding.
