fine but when it comes down to display a bitmap I do not get all
the colors (lightgray is msiing for example and shows up in yelow).
Btw, the window coloring works fine, background is lightgray.


Yes - the problem is that you're likely running 16 colors, and by
default, mwin is set to disallow changing any palette color less
than 24.  So you've got to build a special hack to your driver that
puts the card in 256 color mode. (I wrote a BIOS driver for MSDOS,
you need to hack it into VESA modes)
