I need to use nano-X displaying on X server (XF86_SVGA) because this is
the only driver supporting 256 colors on CL-GD6235 graphics card.
It runs well if nano-X is started in normal X env. - with window manager -
I mean it displays empty frame (not even filled with default black nano-X
background), but starts updating, when it receives the focus (mouse in).
But when I start it like:
tty1: (Ctrl-Alt-F1)
X
tty2:
export DISPLAY=:0
nano-X
switch to tty7 (bare X server running) then nano-X is only visible as
empty frame and there is no way to activate update.
(if you have always running full X, then you may need to start
X :2
export DISPLAY=:2
and go to tty8, not tty7.)
How to make nano-X display properly on bare X server? As I understand
porting nano-X application to bare X is non trivial ?
Best regards,
