I know, there are quite a few features that want to be implemented in
TinyWidgets yet before it will be a fully featured and useful toolkit (I'm
planning to start working on that in a month or two after I finish
University), which is another reason to fix the GTK+ port instead of
writing a TinyWidgets->GTK+ API compatibility layer. Plus the fact that
GTK+ is a moving target so it would need constant work to keep it
compatible with the latest version of GTK+. It's not even clear how
much of a size reduction you would actually get by reimplementing all of
the features of GTK+ in a compatibility layer over just using GTK+
directly. If it's a question of the default GTK+ widgets not being
suitable for small displays, how about designing a "tiny display" GTK+
theme?
