I remember a long time ago that perl was being scaled down, microperl or
nanoperl... I don't remember.
If the language could be squeezed down to only twice the size of
microwindows it could be viable.
Just my 2 Cents.

Python is way too big. In fact for small embedded devices I'd problem even
be tokenising the XML to avoid having to go <> parsing 8)
