Greg, all -

Attached is a patch to the SDL-1.2.3 release that removes the GrArea() calls 
from the nano-X engine and replaces them with the client side framebuffer 
system.   Inital tests show a great increase in speed.

There are still many, many issues, but hopefully this once will help get the 
ball rolling.
