I think so, with the direct framebuffer mapping, Microwindows
stays out of it almost completely, and it's up to the SMPEG
decoders and SDL's color conversion blits.

SMPEG is currently multi-threaded, that's it's biggest issue.

I haven't. I have fooled around with dvdview however.
