i know this is not the place for this, but you know the answer :>
can i have tty1 in textmode 40x25 (vga=100) and tty2 640x480 (framebuffer)?
how?
since i added framebuffer support to the kernel i got:
sisfb: framebuffer at 0xc0000000 mapped to 0xc3804000, size 16384k
sisfb: MMIO at 0xcfee0000, size 128k
sisfb: mode is 640x480x8, linelength=640
console: switching to colour frame device 80x30
fb0: sis 730 framebuffer device, version 1.3.09
BTW, i can do fbset -depth 16, but not -depth 24.
