Simon,
I heard some people have encountered problems in compiling
NanoGTK sources shortly afterwards its public release. I
replied some of them but soon I was so busy that I missed
many of the emails. Fortunately, many questions are already
taken care by Linux enthusiast, like Greg Haerr.
Suppose I am taking care of NanoGTK. It was released in the
hope that someone will find it useful. Utimately, NanoGTK
can be continued with the help of the community.
To anyone new to NanoGTK, NanoGTK has been tested on RedHat
6.2 and 7.2 with GCC version 2.96 and GAWK version 3.0.4.
Newer version of GCC and GAWK may not work. Now there is a
patch for fixing the compilation errors. However, there are
still many warnings when compiling NanoGTK.
For the maintenance of NanoGTK, I believe it is best to put
together our efforts rather than do it individually and quietly.
How can we start NanoGTK as a public project?
I am testing AbiWord 1.0.1 on NanoGTK. Basically, AbiWord is
running fine in NanoGTK. I will release a patch for AbiWord to
run on NanoGTK soon.
