When the Nano-X server emits error messages as
a background process, Linux stops the job,
it seems, unless run in a shell script...
Greg
: I install microwindows-0.89pre8 on RedHat 7.3,
: and the bash version is 2.05a.0(1)-release (i686-pc-linux-gnu).
:
: After configure & make, I run the command: (login as root)
: # cd microwindows/src
: # bin/nano-X &sleep 1; bin/world
:
: I got the following:
: [1] 7990
:
: [1]+ stopped bin/nano-X
:
: And I can't get any map. But if I edit a shell script file, and put the above
command into it.
: # cat mydemo.sh
: bin/nano-X &sleep 1; bin/world
: # chmod 755 mydemo.sh
: # ./mydemo.sh
:
: Everything works well, and I can get a world map.
:
: Could anyone here tell me why the two is different? Thanks!
