Hi, on a couple of the other linuxhacker.org mailing lists I've recently
turned on moderation for messages sent from non-subscribed addresses.
This stops the vast majority of spam because spammers will rarely go to
the trouble of subscribing to a mailing list in order to be able to post
spam to it. Genuine posts from non-subscribers will still get through,
but with a bit of a delay because the message goes via me instead of
directly to the list.

Do people want me to turn this feature on for the NanoGUI list?

PS. I also recently removed the From addresses from the mail archives
because spammers were harvesting addresses from them.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer
