: I'm trying to use some of X11 (bdfs converted to *.fnt) fonts with MW. I would
: like to use the fnt format (it is smaller then *.c) but I can not figure out
: how it works?
After converting fonts "convbdf -f *.bdf" to .fnt format, make sure
the MW config file specifies FNT file support, and then just
use the font pathname in the GrText call. Your font will be dynamically
loaded and then used.
: Do I still need .c fonts that are requierd by genfont.c?
No.
: Can I make genfont.c use *.fnt fonts (and how)?
No, the two fonts are there for default text output and before
any program uses a dynamically loaded font. You can specify an
extremely small and basic font in genfont.c, though, if you're trying
to keep your footprint size down. (it may actually work without
any font specified - try it)
