: After some tracing job, I found out that the X applications
: don\'t call the XOpenDisplay() in NXLIB. The X applications often
: calls XtOpenApplication() in Xt library, but it seems to have
: some checking routines in the Xt functions,

Unfortunately, Xt isn't supported yet by NXLIB. I was
getting moved towards it, but Xt and all it's
idiosyncrasies slowed me down. Xt requires the Xrm
package and expects to read the convoluted startup
files.

Ultimately, Xt calls XOpenDisplay, which NXLIB translates
to a GrOpen call. A good debugging technique is to enable
the DPRINTF in nanox/srvnet.c::GsHandleClient() which
will show which requests are being sent to the
nano-X server. There may be a few unimplemented calls
in nxlib/stubs.c which require implementation for Xt.

Regards,

Greg
