: What do you exactly mean when you wrote "The nxcal program should be run
: first, before running other programs.".

Nxcal should be run once, before anything else, in one of
two modes, Initial Calibration, and Set Calibration.

Initial Calibration: running nxcal without -d argument will ask
the user to calibrate the screen. The mouse driver is placed
in raw mode, and user presses various points, an nxcal.dat file
is generated, and the calibration transform is set in the nano-X server.

Set Calibration: running "nxcal -d nxcal.dat" reads a previous calibration
transform, and sets the server to use that transform. This would
normally be run every startup, unless a new calibration is required.

: If I put it in the launcher.cnf as $startup nxcal is this right? Or not?

It would appear not, since you're not setting the calibration, but instead
asking for a new calibration each time. Try running "$startup nxcal -d
nxcal.dat"

Regards,

Greg
