Other than spouting the odd stream of psudo-random geek-noise I've been
generally very quiet on this list, this isn't from desire, but from
workload, I wish it wasn't the case. I'm currently developing a new OS
for EPOS systems that requires a GUI. And yes, I already know I want
Nano and yes it does do the job already so I'm watching development with
great interest. I have a second (myself being the first) working on this
EPOS system project so, in theory, soon I can devote the fulltime
development of a 2 man devel team (and a 3rd member who is "only"[1] a
graphic artist so will draw widgits, etc). Anyway, that's pre-amble,
obviously, I want to use Nano in my embedded system and don't want to
release the source code of my EPOSOS(???) to the (nano) development
team, well, more accuratly, it's not that I don't want to, but it's more
that I can't as hands tied by the men with the purse strings, etc. So if
I understand everything correctly MPL is what I need so I have no
problems with that, and if there's an option to take the code _TO_ GPL,
once, and not take it back, that's even better, as I can certainly use
that to "our" advantage and make my directors[2] understand that certain
parts of the project directly linked to Nano have to be released back to
this team.

One totally unreleased point also, I want to write a display driver for
Win32, kinda like GGI, any ideas for a start point, other than
DirectDraw, anyone?

[1] Only is a bad term, I don't wish to belittle him, he's very very
good at what he does.
[2] Nice men, lots of money, love free software but want to make money
out of it, sadly, but that can be used to our advantage as they aren't
against releasing lesser parts of the project code should the need to.
