Peter - 
    I agree with Alex, now would be a great time to 
use the code Alex wrote some time ago, and get
it into the CVS tree.  Alex's tree supported TCP/IP
access across a network.  The url is below.

I suggest just making the changes required, rather than
bringing over other code, since much has changed in
client.c.

Have you looked at how I implemented it in microwin-aph? TCP/IP  
support and the environment variable to tell the client what address  
to connect to are a couple more of the features that never made it  
into Greg's tree...
