I think what he wants to do is to set a virtual terminal other then /dev/tty0
in GRAPHICs mode. This is a basic idea in theory, but it gets somewhat
complex in reality. I remember playing with this a while back, and there was
some hacking that was required on the VT switch code - I never really got it
working right.
If I recall correctly, the biggest issues are removing hard coded
dependancies on /dev/tty0, and handling the initial VT switch to the desired
tty (if you start nano-X on /dev/tty0 and ask it to go on /dev/tty7, the code
should switch the VT automatically, like X does).
