Hi guys,

I've found free free free truetype fonts with international support !
(and the equivalent in type 1 too)

ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/intlfonts/intlfonts-1.2-split/

Additional support for other languages like greek and cyrrilic is also
here (type 1):

ftp://ftp.ens.fr/pub/tex/yannis/omega/update-june-1999.tar.gz

So, I will begin porting the freetype library to nano-X ...

This is great...

I'll mail my patches for T1lib support to Greg later today. If you're
interested I'll mail them to you to, so that we can try to coordinate what
changes we make to the font system. T1lib is a bit of a memory hog (I've
started fixing that, though), so maybe FreeType will be better overall.

My impression now is that we really should have a standard API for adding
font renderers to Nano-X, since the T1lib support is independent of the
graphics target (at least tries to be). But that means it uses functions
in devdraw.c that isn't exported. For now I've just included it in devdraw.c
with a big #ifdef. I've also added a call to set the font size.

All this will get added to 0.88. I want to get 0.87 out (a day or two..)
before we add the font stuff, if that's ok. Then we need to agree on
the font api enhancements.

Regards,

Greg
