Hi, guys...

I have some questions about web browser on nano-X

I've heard Opera web browser was ported to nano-X.
	Where can I get it?
It's source open? What is it's license?

And are there any other web browsers - especially open source - for nano-X?

I'm waiting your helping...

Thanks, good luck.

Yes Opera runs on Nano-X. No, they haven't released
it yet, and it's not open source.

I am very interested in open source browsers for Microwindows
and Nano-X. One day when we get the GTK+/GDK widget
set running (which rumor has is in fact limping) then
we could compile up Mozilla, which uses GTK+/GDK
for Linux... Yes, it has a 10mb footprint, but it
is a full featured browser. I'm looking at other solutions.

Any other ideas?

Regards,

Greg

Sorry, Opera is not an open-source project. Not on any platform.
We have not decided how to licence it, since it is a very special
graphic-system that is not used widely.
At this moment, it is not possible to download any beta. But I am
certain we will go for a beta soon, since it start to look very nice.

As much as I love open source, I suspect this is a wise decision.

Yet ;) I suspect that with the wonders of cross platformness, this could
be a very fast way for you folks to get Opera under X, for now.... But
what do I know. I look forward to getting my hands on a copy.... Very
much so, and am willing to pay for it :)

If would "like" to see a licence scheme along the lines of "free for
personal, non-profit use", chargable for commercial use - similar to the
licence scheme used for FlagShip personal (http://www.fship.com/)

Yes. This is why I have a job. If Opera was open source, I would be
out of job, and it would been ported without proper core-code.

For nano-x, that is actually possible. There is quite a few people I
will have to talk this over with first though, but I would like to see
this happen, for many reasons. Mainly for testing purpose :-)
