nanogui: Thread: Help! about my framebuffer.

Now,I have already rebuilt linux kernel and I can see TUX when booted.
But I still have several problems.
1. when I use fbset -depth 8 or fbset 1024x768 etc. to set framebuffer,
screen begin to flash without stop.
who can tell me why? I use --test option, it is ok, no problem prompt.
It seems that I can not set framebuffer correctly using fbset.
2. I am puzzled about XF68_FBDEV. I use matrox video card and it has its
own framebuffer driver matrox_g450fb. When I config X window, I should
use which one in XF86Config file, XF68_FBDEV(no accel) or
matrox_g450fb(accel)?
3.now I develop application on microwin.
  how can I draw only a part of area on screen using framebuffer and
don't destroy background on screen?
