Hi!

I'm trying to use microwindows on MPC823 board by
embeddedplanet (linuxplanet). I have been able to get
the nano-X and nanowm up and running without any
problems. I'm having problems with the pen down events.

I can use a stylus from my iPAQ, and use it to move
the cursor around on the window. The cursor moves
fine. But when I open up a window, and try to drag it
around, it just fails to do that. I set the DEBUG in
nanowm to 1, and NDEBUG in actions.c to 1, to help me
see any problems. Nanowm's reporting ok, when the pen
goes down, and comes up.

Another problem, I face, is that of clicking the
buttons. Essentially, the same problem. Probably
nanowm is receiving the pen down events, but it fails
to pass it on to the application(?).

Any ideas, would be much appreciated.

Dave.

All of this sounds like a mouse driver (touchscreen)
problem, not a problem with the window manager
or nano-X. I would put debug statements in
the drivers/mou_xxx.c that you're using, and go from there.

Regards,

Greg

Thank you, Greg, for the pointer. I'll look it up.
