Are there any docs on adding ebedded fonts to nano-x? I looked in the 
where the font tools are but I could not find even a read me.

No, I don't think there are.  Add the font .c file to src/fonts
and to the src/fonts/Makefile, then add the font declaration
to src/drivers/genfont.c.  You then use a string according to
the name of  the font GrCreateFont function.
