Nanogui, uClinux, and the SED1375
From: Roger Williams ####@####.#### Date: 15 Aug 2000 17:57:10 -0000 Message-Id: <m3g0o6l83h.fsf@grouper.coelacanth.com> We are currently designing a new product using the MC68332 MCU, the SED1375 graphics controller, a 1/4-VGA colour or B/W LCD, and a menu-driven softkey user interface. We're likely to use uClinux (although RTEMS and CMX-RTX are still possibilities). For those few of you who have done some work on integrating Nano-X/ Microwindows with uClinux, are there any particular problems with it, or "gotchas" to watch out for? And has anyone done any nanogui work with the SED137x or SED135x controllers? This looks pretty straightforward, but we'd like to take advantage of any work that's already been done. Naturally, we'll release our code when we get it running. -- Roger Williams finger me for my PGP public key Coelacanth Engineering Inc consulting & turnkey product development Middleborough, Massachusetts wireless * datacomm * DSP * ATE tel +1 508 287-1420 * fax +1 508 861-0278 * http://www.coelacanth.com/

From: Steve Longerbeam ####@####.#### Date: 4 Apr 2001 23:12:10 -0000 Message-Id: <3ACBAA48.9822918F@mvista.com> Hi Roger, I've completed a frame-buffer driver for the SED1356. It's fully acellerated, with h/w cursor and panning/scrolling, and supports all of the displays the SED1356 supports (LCD, TFT, CRT, and TV). It's untested, since I'm still in need of h/w. Let me know if you're interested and I'll send you the source, it's GPL. -- Steve Longerbeam MontaVista Software, Inc. office:408-328-9008, fax:408-328-9204 http://www.mvista.com
