microwindows and frame buffers.
From: "Salaja Akkadan" ####@####.#### Date: 29 Mar 2004 11:54:35 +0100 Message-Id: <BAY12-F62WdBQtSj7wg00019e29@hotmail.com> hello, i am currently trying to run nano-X without X support. i.e through the frame buffer support. i have tried doing everything from blindly following steps on the net to actually going through each option using make menuconfig. the configuration file .config in the /boot directory has all the options for frame buffer support set. i a have modified lilo and then rebooted the system. the penguin logo does not come up and nor does nano-X run from the bash prompt when i log in as the root, or as any other user. the error message occurring is this:: Error opening /dev/fb0 No such device.
