I am trying to throw together a picture frame for my folks so they can
have pics of the grandkids.

I got an old laptop (Gateway Solo 2100). With some effort, I have X up
and running. Apparently the video is pretty broken on these, so the
only thing that works is vesa with X. Framebuffer is hopeless; it
corrupts the display pretty badly. Neither svga or direct vga hardware
drivers will compile.

So I need to get nano-X running under X. No real problems except that I
can't figure out how to get the nano-X window to open at 0,0. Right now
it is opening at what looks like 100,100.

I am using xinit -- nano-X to start it. I've been through the nano-X
code and I can't find where it specifies the coordinates of the nano-X
root window under X....

Any help? Any suggestions? (Why nano-X and not an X app? Because
nxview is almost what I need. All I need to do is throw in a few lines
to randomly pick a picture from a directory and I'm done. No wm needed.)

Search for XCreateWindow in src/drivers/scr_x11.c

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer
