From: sai baba ####@####.#### Date: 6 Jan 2006 13:04:59 +0000 Message-Id: <20060106130454.2411.qmail@web35914.mail.mud.yahoo.com> HI, I want to know how much framebuffer will be allocated for one nanox application ? Is it depends upon the application or it depends on how many nanox servers running ? Bcoz when i am running 3 nanox applications , an error mesg comes saying "unable to allocate RAM " . This error mesg will not come when i run 2 nanox applications. By the bye all the nanox applications are compiled in to the server(ie link application into server). Thanks... __________________________________________ Yahoo! DSL – Something to write home about. Re: [nanogui] regarding nanox applications

Is it depends upon the : application or it depends on how many nanox servers : running ? The framebuffer is real memory reserved by the kernel, not allocated by nano-X. There's no difference depending on the number of applications running. Unless specially modified, you can't run multiple nano-X servers, nor multiple applications when you've linked the application into the server. : Bcoz when i am running 3 nanox applications , an error : mesg comes saying "unable to allocate RAM " . : This error mesg will not come when i run 2 nanox : applications. : By the bye all the nanox applications are compiled in : to the server(ie link application into server). You'll have to grep to find the actual error message location, all server errors give a better reason than "unable"; specifically, where in the code the error is, for better debugging.
