: Cannot bind to named socket
: Couldn't connect to Nano-X Server!

Run as root, make sure /tmp exists and is writeable.

I tried to run strace on nano-X and this is what I get :

execve("/bin/nano-X", ["nano-X"], [/* 15 vars */]) = 0
syscall: unknown syscall trap 0xe1a00000

Could it be anything else except the /tmp directory or the UNIX socket?

First, /tmp, not /TMP

If its writeable and you're still getting the error, then perhaps
local UNIX sockets aren't working on your target.

Greg

: /TMP where ? in ROOT ?
:
: Or in /BIN/tmp ?
:
: I have it and it's writable but still I get the same error.

: Why does the mdemo work and the nano-X doesn't ?

mdemo uses the win32 api, which doesn't support client/server,
instead only a single app can run at once, which has the graphics
routines linked in with the application. This just shows that
your problem with nano-X not working has to do with
the client connecting to the server, which requires UNIX
local sockets, running as root, and a writeable /tmp.

: Wht is the mdemo showing ?

Its a graphics demo. For more details, read the source
src/demo/mwin/mdemo.c.

Greg
