Hi, I'm trying to use Nano-X on an embedded device I'm working on. I've
compiled it for Cygwin, but what I want to do is compile a client on my
ARM board then have it connect to the Cygwin server to use for
development until I get a working display for the ARM. The ARM board
has an embedded Linux kernel on it, but I'm not using a frame buffer
device. We are creating a custom interface to a graphics controller.
I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to compile these things
separately. I was hoping for some pointers.

Thanks,

Sounds like you want to run Nano-X on X11? If so, use the
config.x11 configuration file. I haven't tested building Nano-X
on Cygwin, that may require more adjustments.

Running Nano-X on X11 allows you to use your desktop
to build and debug graphics applications while you're
getting the hardware designed and implemented.

Greg

Actually I've compiled nano-x on cygwin just fine using the
config.cygwin file(with one small adjustment). Now I would like to get
it running on my embedded board. It has an ARM9 processor running
embedded linux. It has a small touch screen display on it, but doesn't
have one of the standard interfaces so I need to figure out how to get
Nano-X compiled and running with a custom device driver and using my
cross-tool chain in my cygwin environment. I've been looking through
the source and I'm having a hard time figuring out where to start.

Did you take a look at tslib?
