It seems to me that Microsoft Word can make any font italic whether an italic variant exists or not. Can this be done with Nano-X and the FreeType libraries? Thanks! I think the Freetype library will produce an italic version, but I haven't checked to see whether we ever ask it to. We could produce our own "automatic italic", by bit shifting any in-core format bitmap font image, but that code is also not yet written.
