I don't know whether this needs a nano-X answer, or an X server answer.
But, I'll ask here :)

I have a nano-X app that runs at on a small 220x176 LCD screen and uses
the whole screen. Now we are porting it to a device that uses a 800x600
LCD screen and the app now is really un-readable. While I can set the
MAX_WIDTH and MAX_HEIGHT to enlarge the app the main problem come with
the fonts.

Is there any way anybody knows to where that everything drawn to a
window gets scaled up, 2x, in size? While this is not the optimum
solution it does allow us to get a feeling of how things will look.

No easy way to do this, unless you want to hack the screen
driver to do the doubling for every draw, including the
bitblit operations, which could be a pain and slow. Essentially,
the upper level would think there's half the width and height
available on the screen, and draw four times the area when
called.

Greg

If you are using Truetype, you can easily set the font size to something
which is readable.
