Can you quickly find out where a string that GrText renders ends?
I could alway do a GrGetGcTextsize but that takes to much time on my
system. What I want to do is render the string and find out where it
ends in one fast operation.

better to figure out why GrGetGcTextsize() is taking excessive time.
are you able to profile it?
