Subject:
Cache headers only?
From: Dean Takemori ####@####.#### Date: 20 Apr 2004 10:50:27 +0100 Message-Id: <12C9F1A6-92B0-11D8-B427-000A95AF6760@hawaii.rr.com> Hello, Is there a way to configure NewsCache to cache only the headers and "pass through" the articles on to the client without caching the articles? When tracing a long running discussion backwards, it is common that a user will mark a group unread and redownload the group headers. With busy groups, it is common for the header-download time to dominate the article retrieval time. In these cases, it's better to keep a cached copy of the headers locally and retrieve the articles straight from the upstream server. -dean takemori | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
