Hi,

We are considering using newscahe. If I understand correctly, the log
managing scripts have been removed from the distribution. Are there any
statistics are available with newscache ? Do I need to build my own
scripts ? What info do the log files povide ?

Yes, i removed the statistic scripts from the package, because there was a
naming constraint with the sendmail programms. You can find the scripts in the
CVS, if you need it.

NewsCache make such entries in the newscache.info:

Nov 14 07:44:05 mynewscache.fwdn NewsCache[3465]: client.fqdn [
10.10.10.10] exit articles 82 groups 1

I think, you can easy create such statistic sripts, ev. based on the original
scripts from Thomas Gschwind. If you have working and tested scripts and want to
give it to NewsCache, please let me know.

Best regards
