after enable permissions:

pzoli@linux:~> scanimage --device-name=plustek:/dev/usbscanner -n
pzoli@linux:~> scanimage --device-name=plustek:/dev/usb/scanner0 -T
scanimage: open of device plustek:/dev/usb/scanner0 failed: Error during
device I/O
pzoli@linux:~> scanimage --device-name=plustek:/dev/usbscanner -T
scanimage: scanning image of size 248x150 pixels at 24 bits/pixel
scanimage: acquiring RGB frame, 8 bits/sample
scanimage: reading one scanline, 744 bytes... scanimage: received signal 2

... waiting, but nothing. Only liteing... :P (Sorry for bad english)

scanimage: trying to stop scanner
FAIL Error: Operation was cancelled
pzoli@linux:~> scanimage --device-name=plustek:/dev/usbscanner -n

-xscannimage
Only work with color42, and save only pnm file (very big size).
With 100dpi the scanned image (white A4 paper with some black objects),
There are lots of green line, and preview too.
(KView can open small pnm images.)

-Gimp
Can't open pnm, it says image size is too big (but for smaller images, too).
Scanner plugin menupoint is disabled. (Why? permission denided?)

Light isn't turn off, until scanimage -n.

It's posible to scan grayscale image, isn't it?
Just turned on the light of N676U scanner, but nothing happend.

Is color42 produce 8bit image?
Can I help you to find out how 9382 work with grayscale image?

best regards,
PAZO

ps: it's my conf file.
