Hello,
when I with Kooka or Xsane start a scan, at the beginn I hear about five
times click noises and the lamp goes about 5 to 10 times for a short time
off (that is IMHO not good for the life of the lamp).
When the scan is ready the lamp goes not off.
Btw how can I find out which plustek-sane driver-version is installed.
I have under Suse Linux 8.0 install the follow files:
sane-backends-1.0.8.tar.gz
plustek-sane-0_44_10.tar.gz
sane-frontends-1.0.8.tar.gz
The file "/etc/sane.d/plustek.conf" contains the follow:
[usb] 0x0400 0x1000
option lampOff 1
option warmup 5
option lOffOnEnd 1
device /dev/usbscanner
In "/etc/modules.conf" I have insert:
options scanner vendor=0x400 product=0x1000
In the xconsole-window I have become the follow mesages:
...
Nov 10 16:00:27 linux kernel: usb.c: USB device 2 (vend/prod 0x400/0x1000)
is not claimed by any active driver.
Nov 10 16:00:27 linux kernel: usb.c: USB device 3 (vend/prod 0x46d/0xc00b)
is not claimed by any active driver.
...

Thanks Ralf
